We're Here to Help

We provide treatment to court-ordered offenders, coordinating with judges, lawyers, and probation officers. Clients can self-refer as well.

A complete Outpatient Referral must be submitted including a copy of the sentencing sheet or court order. Clients will not be scheduled without complete information.

Intake Forms

All clients, new or returning, must complete a Client Registration Form. This may be a self-referral, or it can be completed by a current treating professional.

Once the form is completed, it may be dropped off at any of our offices, faxed to 610-873-3317 or emailed to Intake@HumanServices.org. The Intake Coordinator will be in contact regarding scheduling.

Domestic Violence Treatment Program

A structured and time-limited anger management and domestic violence program for men and women who have been perpetrators of family or community violence, and adolescents who have difficulties with anger management. This program provides an evaluation of offending behaviors and mental health issues. Referrals for psychiatric evaluations or medication management may be included. Though primarily a group program, individual and couples therapy are available. Specialized groups include female offender group, adolescent anger management groups and ongoing support groups.

Anger Management Treatment Program

This program provides an evaluation of offending behaviors and mental health issues. Referrals for psychiatric evaluations or medication management may be included. Treatment is provided in structured groups or individual sessions to address anger issues, including recognition of triggers and identification of coping skills to utilize to effectively manage anger.

Retail Theft Program

Offered to individuals who have been convicted of shoplifting or other community theft charges. This program provides assessment to determine the contributing factors in the shoplifting behavior, and individualized treatment plan and recommendations. This psychoeducational program consists or a six hour audio or online instruction and related workbook assignments, six hours of group and a report to the referral source concerning compliance, completion of program and recommendations.

Adult Sex Offender Program

This program provides weekly group therapy to adjudicated adult sex offenders who reside in and around Chester County, and are on probation or parole. The populations served includes male and female offenders, developmentally delayed, and individuals with mental illness. This program consists of an initial assessment, including a clinical interview for the purpose of gathering information concerning the deviant sexual behavior and the possible contributing causes, past victim issues and mental health history. Information from law enforcement, previous treatment providers, probation officers or other involved parties is utilized during this process. Treatment begins in an initial 1.5 hour orientation group until client passes his initial polygraph, then client is assigned to a weekly, offense-specific group. Upon completion of all assignments and consistent passing of polygraphs, clients can step down to semi-monthly or monthly group meetings. Treatment typically lasts for two years, dependent upon probation/legal stipulations.. As needed, individual and couples
counseling are provided. Referrals for case management, psychiatric evaluations or medication management may be included.

Juvenile Sex Offender Program

This program provides group, individual and family therapy to adjudicated juvenile sex offenders in an effort to prevent repetition of sexual-offending behavior and begins with a clinical evaluation, consisting of an assessment of offending behavior and past victim issues, and risk assessment for placement in the community. Treatment occurs weekly and an aftercare group is available for adolescents who have been in residential placement. Clients range in age from 13 to 20 and most are court referred and on probation, but voluntary referrals and those from Children, Youth and Family services and other placement agencies are accepted. Parent education and consultation is provided on a regular basis. Referrals for case management, psychiatric evaluations or medication management may be included.
